A Better Colgate has a simple mission: Give Alumni a voice to foster better accountability, better transparency and better participation by empowering alumni to directly elect a meaningful number of trustees.
A reasonable next step is the formation of a joint Trustee Election Work Group to study how alumni elections can work for Colgate University.
Colgate is among the most expensive liberal arts colleges in the country. One way to make Colgate better would be to lower costs for all students. That requires more transparency in policy making and an honest discussion about Colgate's future.
